Highlights 2018!

Agrinavia has experienced a busy year with exciting new initiatives and collaborations. Furthermore, we always work on perfecting our current software and programs. Here are the highlights of 2018:

  • We participated in the biggest agricultural exhibition in Northern Europe AGROMEK. The exhibition takes place every second year in Herning, Denmark. The Agrinavia OPTIMIZER module was awarded a AGROMEK STAR for innovation and news value. The guests at our stand showed much interest in this new program, which calculates the most optimal way to drive in the field saving the farmer both time and money. In the long term the tool can also be used for the strategic planning of the development of the farm. This second part of the program is currently under development. We also introduced our crop stock management module, WeedMaps camera and all the updates in Agrinavia FIELD, MAP and MOBILE.
  • In cooperation with The Danish Environmental Protection Agency and several other companies within the agricultural sector we carried out 4 demonstration days showing farmers and agricultural consultants how to use the tools and software available on the market for precision spraying in the field.
  • The Danish version of our mobile app Agrinavia MOBILE has been updated and improved. The interface has been upgraded and new technical possibilities and features have been added.
  • We participated in the Swedish agricultural exhibition Borgeby Fältdagar. We presented the latest addition to our Swedish product range ’Kemikoll’, which is an online program that ensures the right use of Herbicides in the field. Also, the weed camera ‘WeedMaps’ was demonstrated to the guests at our stand. Read more about WeedMaps
  • Together with Aarhus University Agrinavia invited journalists to participate in a press event in the field, where the current and future weed camera were presented and demonstrated. Both cameras are based on artificial intelligence, but whereas the current ‘WeedMaps’ camera can only detect whether there is weed in the field, the camera under development will be able to differentiate the different weed from each other. The Danish television channel TV2 was present. Read more
  • Agrinavia was invited to participate in a new pilot project scheme initiated by The Danish Agricultural Agency. 20 farmers are to contribute to the development of precision farming as a cultivation system. Agrinavia guides farmers using Agrinavia FIELD management system. Read more
